What to Pack for a Weekend at the Lake
After purchasing one of the Lake Wallenpaupack lakefront homes, the new homeowners can enjoy many fun weekends on the lake. Before heading up for a weekend away, here are some of the things that people should bring with them.
Clothing
People spending time on the lake are going to want a swimsuit and summer clothing. However, nights on the lake can get chilly, so it's wise to bring warm clothes, too. Make sure to have all of the shoes needed for each weekend activity, such as sneakers, flip flops, water shoes, and hiking boots.
Toiletries
If the lake house isn't stocked with toiletries already, make sure to bring along everything that's needed for the weekend. This include shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, and more. Have everything on hand to clean up after time on the lake.
Food and Drinks
When thinking about enjoying time on the lake, people tend to think about barbecue foods and cold beer. They find that they want plenty of non-alcoholic beverages on hand, too. This includes water, soda, sports drinks, sweet tea, and juice. Bring plenty of snacks, too.
Sunscreen and Bug Repellent
When the sun shines off the lake, it's possible to get sunburned much faster than usual. On top of that, bugs tend to surround the lake. Have sunscreen, sunglasses, hats, and bug repellent on hand in order to protect yourself.
First Aid Kit
Unfortunate accidents happen all the time. People stub their toes on rocks or cut themselves on an opened can. When these things happen, they had better have a first aid kit on hand to take care of themselves. Keep one in the house, so it's always there when it's needed.
Entertainment
People may plan on spending their days on the lake, but what about at night? Bring along books, musical instruments, playing cards, board games, movies, and other things to entertain the group at night.
When people buy a Lake Wallenpaupack property, they can look forward to many fun weekends ahead as long as they pack all of the things that they need to have an enjoyable weekend.
